Our Classes

A yoga practice is a journey that is unique and ever-evolving; just like each of us! Every one of our classes is Open and All-Levels because the postures are as beginner, intermediate or advanced as a practitioner needs them to be.

At Odyssey Yoga, you will practice with teachers who are compassionate, experienced, and well-qualified to guide students of all levels through an empowering class that will feel like it was designed just for you. Our teachers have studied with a variety of master yogis from different lineages to bring an amazing depth of wisdom and creativity to our yoga community.

Odyssey Class Descriptions

  • Hot 60 (60 minutes)

    This 60-minute Hot Yoga practice will take you through one set of the core 26 Hot Yoga postures. An all-levels class that is great for beginners and students who prefer the depth gained from stillness and repetition; this class takes you through a vigorous practice that is gentle on your joints and promotes detoxification and healing. The room is mindfully heated, so be prepared to sweat! (100-105 degrees) (This is our "Hot Express" class)

  • Hot 75 (75 minutes)
  • Hot 90 (90 minutes)

    A slow, deep practice that clears the mind, cleanses the body, and leaves you with an all-over serenity that comes from combining tremendous effort with complete surrender. This practice takes you through the core 26 Hot Yoga postures; be prepared for full heat, stillness during and between postures, and nothing but the sound of your breath and your teacher guiding you through. You will be amazed at how strong and flexible you can become! Both the 75-minute and 90-minute classes follow the traditional Hot Yoga series with 2 sets of each posture; the 75-minute class has shorter pause between poses and may have fewer savasanas. (100-105 degrees) (This is our "Core 26+" class; the Hot 75 is a slightly faster-paced "Core 26")

  • Hot/Flow (60 minutes)

    This sweaty 60-minute practice will combine the vigor and stillness of Hot Yoga with the movement and breath of a flowing practice. You will move through a slow, grounded flow to get the body moving, and then find steadiness in deepening standing and floor postures. This is a powerful all-levels practice done in a heated room to help you build strength, detoxify, and increase flexibility. (95 degrees) (NEW - similar to our "Essential Flow"; slow flow, minimal sun salutations, more Hot Yoga postures)

  • Core Flow (60 minutes)

    A fun and challenging flowing practice that is great for all levels. Just breath, movement, and sweat! Each class is taught with a variety of sequences to challenge and empower you in a warm and inviting space, so that you can simply get on your mat, do your work and leave completely revitalized. This 60-minute class will work your core and upper body, and prepare you for deeper posture variations, arm balances, and inversions. (warm room) (NEW - similar to our "Essential Flow" and "Rhythmic Flow" classes; slightly faster paced with emphasis on core strengthening and building the foundation for more advanced postures)

  • Power Flow (75 minutes)

    This 75-minute practice will get you energized and empowered! You will build amazing strength and stamina with this quick-moving flow that will take you into deeper posture variations and give you opportunities to practice arm balancing and inversions. It is recommended that you have previous experience with Flow Yoga classes. Come ready to work and play hard, and take your practice to the next level. (warm room) (NEW - similar to our "Essential Flow" and "Rhythmic Flow" classes; faster paced with more arm balances/inversions and more advanced postures)

  • Gentle Flow (60 minutes)

    A slower practice developed to offer a slower and more fundamental approach to yoga. The class will include breath work, strengthening poses, balancing poses, and relaxation techniques, all the while focusing on the specific needs of the individuals in the class. All are welcome, especially those who want a slower-moving, less vigorous introduction to yoga in an unheated space. This class is great for every body type and every experience level. (unheated) (This is similar to our current "Foundations" class)

  • Flow & Restore (60/90 minutes)

    This class begins with a 60-minute creative and rhythmic all-levels Flow, and seamlessly shifts into an optional 30-minute Restorative sequence. Each class is designed to help bring you out of your thoughts and into the moment, first by flowing postures, and then by holding deepening postures that open the hips, shoulders, and spine. After 60- or 90-minutes of meditation, music, and movement in our warm room, you will leave inspired, uplifted, and thoroughly cleansed. (warm room) (This is similar to our current "Essential Flow with Hip Openers")

  • Yin Restore (60 minutes)

    This deep, challenging, and restorative class is just what you need to open your body and clear your mind. Yin postures dive deep into hip opening, heart opening (back bends), shoulder opening, and gentle twists. In this class, your body and mind will be challenged with deep holds as you move through a handful of floor postures that will leave you energized and revitalized. Expect to release chronically tight areas of your body and dramatically increase flexibility. (unheated) (NEW)

  • Deep Restore (60 minutes)

    An amazing gentle stretch, deep relaxation, and guided meditation class that will challenge you to surrender and let go of all your physical, mental and emotional stress. This class will lead you through long holds in simple floor postures with the support of blocks, blankets and bolsters. During the poses, you will be guided into a state of “yogic sleep” known as Yoga Nidra. Come experience the pure bliss and joy of letting your body -and mind- go deep into postures with total support and relaxation. (unheated) (This is our current "Restorative" class)

ESSENTIAL FLOW

A vigorous flowing practice that is straight-forward and deeply effective. Just breath, movement, and sweat! Each class is taught with a variety of sequences to challenge and empower you in a quiet and focused space, so that you can simply get on your mat, do your work and leave completely revitalized. This 90-minute class has the heat turned up, the music turned off, and takes you where you need to go every time you show up to practice.

Express Flow - 60-minute Essential Flow class

Core 26+

A slow, deep practice that is with few variations and zero distractions. Clears the mind, cleanses the body, and leaves you with an all-over serenity that can only come when you combine tremendous effort with complete surrender! This full-on 90-minute Hot Yoga practice will take you through and beyond the core 26 postures, so be ready for full heat, stillness during and between postures, and nothing but the sound of your breath and your teacher guiding you through.

Hot Express - 60-minute Core 26+ class

Rhythmic Flow

An inspirational, creative and rhythmic practice with music that lifts the spirit and weaves all elements of the practice together. Each Rhythmic Flow class is intelligently sequenced and designed around a central theme to help bring you out of your thoughts and into the moment, allowing you to work -and play- hard! After 90-minutes of meditation, music, and movement in our warm room, you will leave inspired, uplifted, and thoroughly cleansed.

Hip Openers

*You must take the preceding class to warm up for Hip Openers!

This 30-minute optional add-on class will take you deep into one of the tightest and most emotionally-charged areas of the body. We turn off the heat, turn down the lights, and work our way sequentially deeper into postures that specifically target the hips. Come discover how shifting your hips can help shift your whole body, and maybe even your whole life!

Foundations

A slower practice developed to offer beginners, senior yogis, and those with physical limitations a slower and more fundamental approach to yoga. The class will include breath work, strengthening poses, balancing poses, and relaxation techniques, all the while focusing on the specific needs of the individuals in the class. All are welcome, especially those who want a slower-moving, less vigorous introduction to yoga in an unheated space. Foundations classes are great for every body type and every experience level.

Restorative Yoga

An amazing gentle stretch, deep relaxation, and guided meditation class that will challenge you to surrender and let go of all of your physical, mental and emotional stress. This class will lead you through modified standing postures and floor postures with the support of blocks, blankets and bolsters. Come experience the pure bliss and joy of letting your body go deep into postures with total support and relaxation.

Kids' Yoga

*Ages 5-10 years

Get your kids moving and breathing while having fun! In addition to learning traditional yoga postures and playing fun yoga games, the kids receive valuable opportunities to express themselves, listen to each other, and create moments of peace and calm.

Cost: $9 drop-in or $75 for a 10-class package

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available for students of all levels and abilities. This is an amazing way to receive direct answers and feedback for your individual needs, whether you are just starting out or have an established practice. You will be amazed at how quickly you can work through blockages in your body and your overall practice in this one-on-one environment.

Everyone is welcome to take a drop in class, however, becoming a member means you'll have unlimited yoga classes all month long. The key to receiving all of yoga’s benefits and sustaining a successful, life-long practice begins with consistency and patience.
